Challenge Information and Registration

Thank you for choosing our run!

The Charmouth Challenge is a chip timed 8-mile fell run. It is a hilly multi-terrain course through some of the finest coastal scenery in the South West on Dorset’s beautiful Jurassic Coast, overlooking Charmouth’s famous fossil hunting beaches with views to historic Lyme Regis. It includes an ascent of Golden Cap, which is the highest point on the South Coast of England at 191 metres.
PLEASE NOTE: The use of headphones are not allowed, no dogs or wheeled vehicles. You must be 18 to enter this race.

Important Change since 2022 – WE ARE A SINGLE USE PLASTIC CUP FREE RACE!!
What does this mean? It means that we will NOT be providing disposable plastic cups at the water stations. Volunteers will be happy to fill your water bladders/bottles/collapsible cups at the water stations. In our quest to make this race plastic free we ask that you run with your own re-usable cup or bottle. Collapsible cups are available either be purchased on the day or in advance on-line for collection on race day at Charmouth Primary School (£3.00).
